So Hillary Clinton WON the popular vote and lost the electoral college

This is not a mandate

This is not a stunning defeat of a flawed candidate

This is a backlash against an African American President that was incredibly successful

This is a backlash against the possibility of a female in charge

This is racism and this is sexism

This is misogyny at its worst

This is Islamophobia

This is isolationism

This is xenophobia

This is a media that decided the show was more important

This is a media that decided to make false equivalencies

This is a media that made everything about email for her

This is a media that forgot everything about him

This is a media that held to too little accountability to facts

This is a media that held to little accountability to reality

This is a media that hounded Hillary Clinton

This is a media that let the FBI play fast and loose with our election because it was a bright shiny object

This is media that let Russia play fast and loose with out election because WikiLeaks was a bright shiny object

This is a media that (mostly) didn’t ask about conflict of interest

This is a media that (mostly) didn’t investigate business connections

This is a media that does not want to take responsibility where responsibility is due

This is a media that didn’t want to risk its sources and its guests

This is a media that must change

This type of thing has happened before – we must NEVER FORGET

We have to be aware

We have to be vigilant

We have to stand up (or sit down) to get in the way

We have to hold history right in front of us

The media cannot let things slide

The media cannot give in to lies

The media cannot deal in alternate reality

The media must stand strong

Now more than ever

We are balanced on a preciptice

We cannot go off

We cannot go backwards

We must all be accountable
